Blood on cutting teeth?
My 7-month old son is cutting his top front teeth, and on one side, it looks like there's blood on the end of the tooth or the gum right near it. Is this normal?

I had never seen this until yesterday!
My 8 month old- third baby- has been teething forever it seems. And yesterday morning I noticed the tooth had finally started to cut through but there was what looked like a bit of blood around it. I was a little alarmed but decided to wait and see what happened during the day (by your third child, you know when to do that!). And it was gone by last evening, today the top edge of the tooth is completely through the gum. It looked quite sore during the day so I gave her ibuprofen and kept cool washcloths to chew on, and she seemed to appreciate them. My other two just woke up with a tooth or two one day- never saw a problem like this one has had, poor babe.Give it the day and see what happens, my guess is it is from the gums being irritated. I would have called the ped. after a day or more likely two just because pockets of fluid can cause infection after a prolonged time period.

ive never seen blood around my kids teeth when they were first cutting them as they have gotten older its kinda normal..i would put a call in to the dr and ask them..if they are concerned they will have you go in ...good luck
