Other Replys:Actually, it's a pretty outdated method. After competing in pageants for years, I've only seen very few girls use Vaseline.
However, it does help girls remember to smile (although when you're under bright lights on a stage, it's not hard to smile), and it helps to keep your lips from sticking to your teeth during a speech, or prolonged smiling. When your mouth is open for so long, your lips will get dry and tend to stick to your teeth which is anything but fun.
