My dentist growned down my white crown on a spot showing the metal through. Is she obligated to fix
My dentist replaced my silver filling with a crown which she mistakingly growned down to far and some of the metal is showing thru. I didn't know you could see the metal untill she had already crowned the tooth. I told her I was not happy but she acted as if there was nothing she could do. I have already paid for half of the crown and have just received a bill for the balance due. Before I pay the rest is she obligated to replace or fix it?

at this point the crown would have to be re-done because you can't add more porcelain (the white part) with the crown in your mouth. health-wise, the crown should be absolutely fine, it just might not look pretty. if you're really unhappy, be sure you let your dentist know this...most dentists would rather have a happy patient and re-do something if you are unhappy with it.
