crancky or is she going to be ok and how long should it take for those pearls to pop out and what kind of food should i be feeding her with im giving her gerber stage 2 should i move to stage 3 or should i give her those gerber cookies to chew on or wait a little longer till she has all her pearly whites help thank you and god bless you all!!!!

I worked in a dentist office for a long time and we got this question a lot. Basically, those little pearly whites will come up and go down multiple times before they break the surface. Some babies don't have any symptoms, but overall, when they finally break thru, most babies get fussy, sometimes a low fever, and a runny nose. Infant Tylenol works fantastic for this! If your baby get's fussy, it usually only lasts a day or so and then those teeth have broken thru. I would tell you NOT to start on stage 3 foods yet. I would keep feeding babyfood for now too. Those Gerber cookies are made for older infants (over 12 mos usually) who have more teeth. You definately don't want your little girly to choke! :)

give her those cookies to suck and chew on. wait until you see that she can chew before giving her any chuncky food. She wont be cranky, maybe a little fussy, but when the molars come in, that's the time when your patience is tested...usually around 1-2 years old. They'll get fevers, diarrhea, major screaming and crying out of no where...i realized the only way to stop that was to hold her tight and love her. the more you freak out on them, the worse it gets.
