I just want to enhance my smile. Make it brighter, and go a shade whiter. I am looking at the cost effectiveness as opposed to going in ever so often for a treatment..

just a reply to your post, im a dental assistant. If your just looking to make your smile bright i would recommed just whitening, there are a couple options. 1 you could have in office treatment (zoom) which takes about 3 hours with a light that is around 600. or you can do at home whitening which you have impressions taken and take the bleach home and whiten during the day or at night that is around 300. or you can try the whitestrips at the drugstore, not most recommended. Veneers are usually placed if you want to change the shape of your teeth of if you have white fillings on your anterior teeth which the bleaching will not change the color of them. Veneers can cost around 600 per veneer. Hope that answers some questions

Other Replys:My friend had it, and it looks great, she didn't tell me the cost, but, did tell me it was hell, they ground her teeth and put some kind of acid on there and she said that was the worst part of it, because according to t.v., they make it sound like it's such a simple procedure, but, I would imagine at least a grand a tooth, no cosmetic dentistry is cheap...and if it is, it's not worth your time and may result in injury to your teeth that can't be reversed...good luck, and also, if your teeth are fine, and you just want them whiter, get the laser treatmet done from a dentist, or use the crest strips, my kids use them, and they have beautiful teeth, and also from Dr. Oz on Oprah, has said that too much bleaching wears the teeth down, so don't do that too often...but, go just get an estimate and see what you need before you decide anything..
