Teeth problems?
my cat is 15 years old and i just noticed her eye teeth are crooked and one is about to fall out.the vet is on vacation until jan,18.what can i do for her.she will not eat hard food anymore but she will eat soft foods and baby food,and she has lost about 3 pounds,but seems to be content,but does not eat as much as she use to.

Kitty has advanced gingevitis and probably needs a number of teeth extracted. She may be in great pain from toothaches!
Hard food isn't good for her anyway, but the fact that she won't eat it shows that her mouth hurts. Keep feeding her canned food and baby food for now. It's important that she keep her tummy full or she risks hepatic lipidosis, a fatal liver condition.
When you buy baby food read the labels and be sure to get flavors with NO Onions!! Most baby foods have onions, and onions cause anemia in cats. That's the last thing you need in a cat that isn't eating enough!
Because of the possibility severe of toothache pain I'd suggest getting her to another vet asap rather than waiting for her regular doctor to return from vacation.
