Teeth troubles!?
I have had braces for 2 years. I will be getting them off in a week.
My gums are horribly puffy, and have been for the majority of these 2 years. I even had to have a laser thing on part of it a couple months ago. Yet they are still very very bad. Will this go away when my braces come off?? I brush twice a day and floss every night. I don't understand why my gums are in such a horrible state. Between two teeth, the gum even goes down under the wire. Will it go back to normal when my braces come off??
Also, I have noticed the bottom of my top two front teeth are becoming a bit see through. I don't drink pop at all. I do love coffee, and I eat a couple oranges a day. Why are my teeth turning translucent? Is there a way to make it go back to normal?

Have your dentist evaluate this. Make sure you tell them if you are on any medications (as medications can cause this). If your oral hygiene is as good as it sounds, there is likely a cause other than plaque. Take care.
