If i get my wisdom teeth removed - will my teeth straighten out?
I had four teeth removed when i was younger, as i have a small jaw. So thanks to that, my teeth ended up pretty straight.
Now my wisdom teeth are coming through.
They are growing unevenly though, the left wisdom tooth is half way through, whereas the right is just starting to appear.. now as a result of that....... my teeth have gone ever so slightly off too the side. Meaning, like...... they look a bit wonky. I can only really notice it in photo's, but it's bugging me. And i don't want it to get worse. And i really do not want a brace.
If i get the wisdom teeth removed - will the teeth straighten back out? Or will a brace be needed?
I would ask the dentist, but i'm a bit of a dentalphobe =/

I don't think what has already occured will straighten out, but having them removed will prevent them from getting even wonkier. Is that a word? :)

getting them taken out will stop the teeth from moving any more, but afterwords if they havent went back to their original positions your dentist might have you wear an invisiline for a few months

Other Replys:ive been told the teeth will continue to grow more cramped and crooked until the wisdom teeth are out. However, this doesnt mean they will straighten out. a "spring retainer" might be a great alternative to braces if they dont straighten out. ask your dentist about it. its less costly
